Feeling Defeated Is not the end…

defeated

I have had  friends express many times the concern of just feeling defeated! I want to share with you the outcome of what the Lord has shown me when I feel this way.

We all feel defeated at times….

It is that your heart is broken and you feel like you have given it your all and yet, you feel defeated. You may have prayed hard about some situation and it is not resolved yet. You’re giving every minute of your time to these children and yet their sin overwhelms you and some of their choices have you asking yourself, Is it something I have done.  You are just so down and defeated and it’s ok. Should I say it is going to be ok!

You may give everything you have to something or someone and it leaves you empty and confused. You may be trying to protect the ones you love from anything hard or hurtful, out of fear and that can be so exhausting. Not to mention an unattainable task!

Beloveds, find your strength to do what is good in the One who has not left you defeated!

It is always good to realize that we do not have all the answers or can attain an outcome by our actions. Instead, we look to the One who is faithful and Just and hears the prayers of a righteous man!

It is good as momma’s to let our children experience this at an early age.

Beloveds, Let your children see their need for a Saviour early. Let the Spirit establish in them a humble heart to carry them through . I will not lie and tell you, this is easy, it is one of the hardest things to do! I pray, daily that I will let them know how much they, themselves need God to help them in the big, little, easy, and hard things life will throw at them!

I will not lie and tell you, this is easy, it is one of the hardest things to do! I pray, daily that I will let them know how much they, themselves need God to help them in the big, little, easy, and hard things life will throw at them!

This kind of suffering is a good kind of suffering, Mommas!

Embrace it and Let it mold your heart and that of your children!

This suffering brings about perseverance!

This suffering brings about virtuous character!

That is what we want in ourselves and in our children! They will see you looking to Jesus for strength to let them fail sometimes! They will see and feel your heart break over their choices, let this be done while you can still pull them close to you, and guide them in knowing Christ!

Because this dark world will bring about sufferings on its own but be found in suffering for what is good!

Let yourself,  Feel defeated, BUT it is what you do with it that matters!!

Feel the heartache of defeat as Christ might have only felt it on the cross but He knew the  Joy of knowing that His Father will redeem this for good! He knew He was not defeated! That was and is not the case for those whose trust is in God. That this is not the end… That in the power and strength of the Spirit you will be Victorious!!

Feeling defeated, or suffering is not the end, It is the beginning of great rejoicing!

Overcome this World by His Word and not on your own!

Because you, beloved one, are NOT alone, you are a child of God! And your Heavenly Father wants you too to know Him more through suffering for what is good and then may we find ourselves glorifying His name in every season of life!

Share the Sufferings of Christ ~ 1Peter 4

12 Beloved, do not be surprised at the fiery ordeal among you, which comes upon you for your testing, as though some strange thing were happening to you;

13 but to the degree that you share the sufferings of Christ, keep on rejoicing so that also at the revelation of His glory you may rejoice with exultation.

14 If you are reviled for the name of Christ, you are blessed, because the Spirit of glory and of God rests on you.

15 Make sure that none of you suffers as a murderer, or thief, or evildoer, or a troublesome meddler;

16 but if anyone suffers as a Christian, he is not to be ashamed, but is to glorify God in this name.

{Feeling defeated, or suffering is not the end, It is the beginning of great rejoicing}

17 For it is time for judgment to begin with the household of God; and if it begins with us first, what will be the outcome for those who do not obey the gospel of God?

18 And if it is with difficulty that the righteous is saved, what will become of the godless man and the sinner?

19 Therefore, those also who suffer according to the will of God shall entrust their souls to a faithful Creator in doing what is right.
