His most Important Work
Psalm 97 ~ A chapter I come back to often.
“Clouds and thick darkness surrounds Him”
The Father often uses darkness to conceal His glory.
Where else in scripture does He use clouds and thick darkness to show His power? Think Abraham, Moses, Ezekiel 10 ~ and so many more places!
Then there’s the cross.
“Now from the sixth-hour darkness fell upon all the land until the ninth hour. About the ninth hour, Jesus cried out with a loud voice, saying, " ELI, ELI, LAMA SABACHTHANI?" that is, " MY GOD, MY GOD, WHY HAVE YOU FORSAKEN ME?"” Matthew 27:45-46
What happened in those 3 hours of darkness when it should have been mid-day?
What was God concealing or maybe, what was the Father revealing to the Son on the cross?
What was their conversation?
Remember beloved ~ God is doing His best and most powerful work in the darkest of times and places.
Wait patiently ~ in the darkness. For His glory will be revealed to the ends of the earth.
It may take years, or maybe even just 3 days to make something new, something as new as a new day dawning! But with God it is possible!
Maybe ~ a New covenant was being established as a gift to the world! Maybe, righteousness and justice were
being created for all who will believe. •••••••••• Our Father is just that amazing that He uses even darkness to make good things! Nothing is wasted with God!
Where do you know of where “clouds and thick darkness” seem to show His glory in scripture or in life?
