This Morning...

"The future of this republic is in the hands of the American voter." -Dwight D. Eisenhower

This morning, I find myself asking...Have we exercised our right to vote? Have we clasped our hands together and prayed over this nation?

This morning, I am feeling so grateful for the opportunity to vote and I thank those who sacrifice and have laid down their lives for us to have this right.

This morning, I am also so broken for friends in countries who have never experienced the freedom of democracy.

This morning, I am giving thanks for the chance to teach my children that we are free; that as citizens we are called to pray for and make decisions based on intellect not emotion.

This morning, as we walked into the polls together, my children were so excited to “vote” ~ to look at the ballot ~ wearing their red, white, and blue ~ It’s an excitement I pray they never lose or take for granted.

This morning, my heart is filled with joy to be with my children, our feet planted in a place that claims freedom!!!!

As I bubbled in each circle, with names that I have prayed over, I quietly whispered...One nation under God.... One nation under God… One nation under God...

No matter the results of the election, may that truth remain our focus. One nation, not divided, but ONE nation under God.

Thankful for this life and praying with you,

Kristin
