Tomorrows Freedom

As I think on all that my heart is heavy with today, I find myself welling up within me a desire to complain, dwell and scrutinize situations that are not mine to carry. Does anyone else do this? When we know that God is the one that has put us here in this place and we know that His hand is the only one that really knows and is able to take these situations and make good out of them.

And then I am reminded that freedom~ true freedom to be who we are and find rest in where-ever we may be, comes when we LOOK to our God and set our gaze on our hearts greatest treasure.

When we do not take captive our thoughts that often dictate our actions and lead us to places where we are still longing for what only our Jesus can provide. We only where a yoke that is too heavy and weights us down. Instead of press forward with the strength God provides in grace with commands that lead us to the very grace to get through our days.

Today, I surrender my desire to dwell on things that are out of my control and trust His word when He says in Deuteronomy concerning the Law of the Sanctuary ~

Where He reminds His people, that He is the provider of rest. That He provides rest to those who Know Him and are careful to keep His commands. Because in keeping His Commands is the very way that ushers in the knowledge of who He is and this surrender allow the freedom to walk in the Light with the very source of Light ~ Jesus.

Taking captive my thoughts today I remind my heart of His command to “Be careful to listen to all these words which I command you, so that it may be well with you and your sons after you forever, for you will be doing what is good and right in the sight of the Lord your God.” Duet 12:28

and cling to

Think of Excellence ~ Philipines 4:4-8

4 Therefore, my beloved brethren whom I long to see, my joy and crown, in this way stand firm in the Lord, my beloved.

2 I urge Euodia and I urge Syntyche to live in harmony in the Lord. 3 Indeed, true companion, I ask you also to help these women who have shared my struggle in the cause of the gospel, together with Clement also and the rest of my fellow workers, whose names are in the book of life.

4 Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice! 5 Let your gentle spirit be known to all men. The Lord is near. 6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. 7 And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Surrender looks different for all of us~ and we have to seek Him in His word to see what we need to let go of and choose to cling to.

Hope this encourages you to know maybe, your not alone and to take captive our thoughts and dwell on what the Lord has given us to usher in like a flood freedome~

What do you need to surrender, seek and cling to today to allow the Lord to be seen in your life?
